About / Biography
Aaron Schlosberg was born in Juneau, Alaska, in 1979 and raised in the foothills of the Chugach mountain range overlooking Anchorage.
While art has been Aaron's passion since he was a child, it was in the art department at Linfield College that he honed it into a career. Since then he has operated studios for painting, flame-working and welding in Oregon, Alaska, Washington and Georgia. He spent a year in the Masters program at Savannah College of Art and Design. He currently lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
To Aaron, art creation is an organic process which takes place on a subliminal level. Integral to a successful end painting is his ever-changing interpretation of it as it grows. Every piece is in constant evolution until finished - he begins with no predetermined idea of how the completed piece will look. Artistic influences include scientific and mythological imagery, and artists such as M.C. Escher, Salvidor Dali, Alex Grey and Ron Mills.
